Indeed. It is also my favorite widebody.

and I'll particularly miss KLM's, as I've flown on all the MDs in their fleet.

Sad to see em go.

Very Comfy Aircraft, loved it's huge windows and quiet interiors.

Brings me back fond memories of 'Nkwazi' the DC-10-30 flagship of the now defunct Zambia Airways. Used to fly it as a school kid going home during the holidays on the Bombay Lusaka route during the late 80s. The nose section of which is now stored at Manchester Airport in Monarch Colours.

Here is my album of the last flight

https://www.flickr.com/photos/aseemsjohri/sets/72157648970439942/

This is PH-KCB "Maria Montessori" at YYZ. Though, the flight out of YUL would be "the" last flight as it left after YYZ's. That one was PH-KCE "Audrey Hepburn".

I have had the opportunity to shoot PH-KCA/B/D/E/K, which is Amy, Maria, Florence, Audrey & Ingrid.

cheers!!

That is a lovely collection of photos, Aseem. It is a pity that the light and weather weren't exactly fantastic. Have you also been on the KL MD-11s? Do let us know of your experiences as well.
Thanks, Sumantra.
