There is a white aircraft, looking like an A300/A310 in this picture, just ahead of the BA's tail.
Which aircraft is this? I thought it was the ex-AI all cargo A310 about to be broken up, but this looks like it is in another location.
By the way, the ex-AI A310 can be seen here, jut above the Jetlite 737.

That's definitely an A32x family aircraft. Red underbelly suggests ex-IT. That's where the rest of their abandoned aircraft were parked, too. |

Thanks, It sure looks like having red underbelly. But I thought that all the ex-IT A32Xs had been taken out of India? _________________ I don't know which is the more pampered bunch : AI's widebodies (the aunties) or Jet's widebodies (the planes).

On the subject, there is a sizable row of IT turboprops in MAA, surprised they haven't ended up with other carriers already, as they're quite new builds at the end of the day. _________________ Yeah. |

That is VT-VJM - Kingfisher Airlines Airbus A319-133 CJ, gathering dust.
Here is a picture of it that I took a few months back.

Thanks for the pic. My God, that poor bird is in a bad shape. The patches near the wing root and in the APU area suggest that it too has been cannibalised.
Bloody Mallya! _________________ I don't know which is the more pampered bunch : AI's widebodies (the aunties) or Jet's widebodies (the planes).

The preservation schedule is just not being followed, which is unprofessional and disapointing. _________________ Think of the Brighter side !!! |

Why don't they sell it off (this and other private jets of VJM)? Something is better than nothing right. Plus, I am sure this CJ is not sitting free of cost on this remote stand. So why make the hole in your pocket bigger and bigger everyday? |

Just like some of their ATRs/320s/332s/345s, incorrect mx records might be the case. Also remember that the A319CJ market is quite the niche too. _________________ Yeah. |

It's quite possible these are stuck in the innumerable court cases and VJM is using his muscle to drag the cases on. Most of these a/c are leased and VJM is probably not the owner, but the lessor cannot take them back pending the court case (as the lessor's probably filed a case for recovery of a/c due to non-payment of lease amount)! _________________ We miss you Nalini! |

Thats the problem with the legal system....time delays leading to the ruin of unpreserved aircraft such that a few yrs later these machines lose all value and are scrapped. _________________ Think of the Brighter side !!! |
