Not again..... Rolling Eyes

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/twin-blasts-at-chennai-railway-station/liveblog/34459221.cms

RIP to the poor victim. She was only 24 years old. Not an age to die.

and this only shows how in spite of all the tall claims of improved security and other bouraha, it is still ridiculously easy to plant a bomb on an Indian train and get away with it .

It is about time that access to train stations is allowed only to passengers, railway staff and documented service personnel, like it is in airports.

I hope none of your friends or relatives were affected in any way.

I hope you realize that this is just impossible in India and most countries of the world. It is easy for us to discuss in an aviation forum, but commercial aviation , accounts for a very tiny percentage of public transport.

I was scheduled to come into MAS from SBC on another train that would've arrived 10 minutes before this one blew up, but changed my plan at the last minute 'coz I fell sick. In any case, it seems like a rather low-intensity blast and sources suggest that MAS wasn't the target in the first place.

This sounds next to impossible. There are 8,500 stations in the country and you can enter any of them via several dozens of entrances. No way anybody is going to police all of them.

Harsh but true.
