im paying about 17 lakhs for training.... about 2.6 lakhs for my pilot pack and about 2 laks for staying... so thats like 21.6 so u can approximate it to about 22 with the ticket to sydney... plus if u take my personal expenses i think about 25ish...

Living in sydney I suppose you would need about 10-12000 AUD per year as living cost.

Would that be about right VABBy?

Cheers

acording to xe.com 25 lakhs comes out to 56,573.84 USD which isn't bad since it includes living expenses.

you can get by $40,000 with IR/CPL/Multi but thats the lowest I've seen here.

so saurabhm_101 i take it your going to have your license converted when you go back to india, how does one go about doing that?

Hey congratulations!
So you will get a multi commercial + instrument rating huh? No plans of doing a CFI/CFII?
It can be done in a year, but study study study. You can get through it without putting in 100%, but remember just getting by doesn’t make you a safe pilot.
Good luck!

I guess u will be training at the Bankstown airport. So if u put up there at a shared accomodation in the nearby suburbs thats gonna be like 100-150aud pw.. Anyways all the best mate.

yeah, bankstown is really cheap. I used to spend about $1200 / month when I was in Oz, but that was coz i was living in Kirribilli.

someone wish me luck too! i'm off to Sabena Airline Training Center, Mesa Arizona, this Friday!!! Am doing the Professional Pilots Course. 225 hours. Will be training on the DA 20 and the 42! Cool

my post count may not be high ... and my joining date might be the 1st of Jan '07, but i've been a silent observer for a long long time!

Keep the greasy side down ...
