RIP Nelson Mandela!

I'm one of those illiterates who does not have the low down on Mandela - except to know he was responsible to get rid of Apartheid, and ensure a peaceful transition from the old to the new state of South Africa. Just these alone are worthy of immense respect!

RIP Nelson Mandela... Sad

I read all the comments of this news on CNN website. Some of the comments were not required at this sombre moment. Most of them who did not feel disappointed of his death called him as a terrorist because he was responsible for the bombing of school bus, carrying 45 children.

They also mentioned that SA was better off during Apartheid than now. Most of them seem they were ignorant about history and also compared him to Hitler, Feidel Castro and other dictators.

Seriously, what a bunch of bad souls... Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

The World has become a lot poorer in many ways. Mandela was probably, the most inspiring person in recent times. South Africa is really fortunate to be able to call him their own.

Mandela's policy of post apartheid reconciliation alone makes him one of the greatest who ever lived! One only needs to look at South Africa's northern neighbour to see how badly things could have turned out.

RIP, Madiba! You will be missed!

Look at the self appointed leaders of the free world at a solemn moment like this.

Mrs Obama, is a study in stark contrast to her husband, who has flown in in the capacity of the President of the USA.

It's a picture of someone taking a picture ...... who cares?
Why are people making a big deal out of this?

In Coimbatore, they're mourning Morgan Freeman instead of Nelson Mandela.
