What is the difference between these two?

I see that the WN flight nose gear collapse is moved to the Civil Av section even though it has nothing to do with India. Should we still keep the international section or combine it with Civil Av or rename Civil Av to something like Indian Civil Av?

I moved it as the other 2 accidents were also on Civil Av, I agree they are nothing to do with India, so your question is valid...

Nimish, I often post news as relates to aircraft type in the Civil Aviation section. More often that not, I add the disclaimer : "NOTE: Intentionally posted in the "Civil Aviation" section, as this relates to an aircraft type, rather than an (non-Indian) airline." This is because (in my humble opinion) such news is as concerns general civil aviation development (such as a new aircraft debuting or technology being made available to airlines), though not Indian civil aviation news; and I see the "Civil Aviation" section as the place it ought to be in.

The Asiana crash landing at SFO and the Southwest nose gear collapse at LGA honestly has nothing to do with (Indian) Civil Aviation, less with news as relates to general civil aviation; and rather more with the goings on in the International aviation arena. Perhaps these were better off left in the International section.

Just my 2 cents; I am sure the mods know better.

I guess we mods have to be more deft in dealing with this. You can expect this from us going forward.
