This is just one example of blatant sexism by the Indian judiciary. Excerpt:

'Moving the bail application, the accused stated that she was a 40-year-old unmarried woman who was the only support for her aged parents. Counsel Aggarwal also stated that the women in the country should be given a special status and the accused being an unmarried woman could not be kept in jail.

Allowing the plea, ASJ Bhatnagar said, "Since the accused is a female and she has already joined the investigation and her custodial interrogation is not required... it is hereby ordered that in the event of arrest, the accused be released on bail."'

So many criminals in India are not even touch, in this case, she is the only one who is their to take care of her parents. So from that point of view, its good she got bail.

But legally, she should not be release and everybody should be treated the same. The male pilot have family depended on them. They are the whole and soul earner for their house. I m very sure, that women who can get pilot license with false mark sheet can definitely have good financial background and a rich parents. She should not be bail so easily but be assured that punishing her would be an example for others. I would be writing about this issue soon my EPC world Magazine, all are requested to do not support such actions.
