Nice Collection there. The closest two easiest to make/paint, and overlook, although I like the No.2.
The 4th one, I have never seen a livery like that on the 400s. Standing out, Swoosh Mr.3rd with superb Metallic belly!  |

The Herpa 1:500 Air India 787 is out.
The engines have been changed (though the color of the "sun" is red instead of gold), so has the registration. The model has it as VT-ANH, though the box says VT-ANA.

Your home must be a fun place. A dozen 747s on the sofa, a fleet of 777s on the dining table, a few 707s on your bed and half a dozen Constellations in the bathtub, not to mention varied aircraft types stuck up in all the nooks, crannies and all over the floor ! All AI models , of course 
But its a nice collection you've got. I admire your dedication to the task!

Thank you. Yes, it has become quite an obession. I believe I have close to all of the Air India die-cast models produced. As I say, I spend 90% of my wealth on aviation - the rest, I waste !
Space, however, has become a scare resource. Hopefully someday the collection will get the room they deserve to be displayed.

VT-EGC has never been made, in any scale, by any manufacturer, either die-cast or snap-fit. Your best bet is to try and get a customized model built, perhaps through someone on http://www.diecastaircraftforum.com

The 787 looks really nice in AI's old livery, with the grey underside.
They should paint a couple of aircraft in these retro colours.

The latest addition to my collection - a built, but classic model :
Air India 747-237 VT-EFO "Emperor Kanishka" in 1:144 scale
Not in the best of shape, VT-EFO is missing a horizontal stabilizer, and shows signs of her age. That being said, she is a classic in more ways than one, and will go well with my other two classic models (above) from the 70s era. While I do not usually acquire built models, in this case I decided to make an exception.
It's always special to get a 747-237 model, and VT-EFO is extra special, given her history. According to his flight logs, my old man flew her for the last time on April 17, 1985 as AI 825/824 on BOM-DHA-BOM, 2 months before she was lost.

Thanks, Bro. I have honestly given up on collecting models of desi carriers other than Air India, mostly thanks to a lack of physical space to put them out to display. In fact the fleet is currently packed away in a multitude of storage boxes right now, waiting to see the light of day someday, hopefully soon. But thanks for keeping an eye out.....let me know if you see anything interesting out there.
