I remember reading on this forum about Engine commonality on the PW4000 series. It was some big reason why many Airlines selected this same engine to power their 767/777/744/A330/A310s, eg UA/AI. But i can't recollect it now. What is it all about ?
Thanks in advance. |

I read this on Wiki too. The main reason to put up this question was to know why AI / UA selected PW to power their fleets, across various types!
Engine component compatibility?
Interchangeability?
Less Spare Parts Inventory? |

Normally companys would go for smaller stores inventory because of similiar spares, but at times its a good offer by the manufacturer that tilts scales. _________________ Think of the Brighter side !!! |
