Initial reports say he was killed in Pakistan near Islamabad. Certainly puts a dent in Pakistani claims that they had no idea where he was...
Still awaiting Obama to address the nation. |

CNN reporting that he was killed at a mansion just outside Islamabad!!
So Bin Laden met his end basically in the capital city of Pakistan!
What does this say about Pakistan?
It says that Pakistan is the lowest, most heinous country on the face of the world! It protected and kept this scum maniac for more than 10 years!!
This is basically like V-E day/V-J day after WWII was over.
USA! USA!! USA!!
America did it!! God Bless America! _________________ "A communist is someone who reads Marx. An anti-communist is someone who understands Marx." Ronald Reagan

It was actually the operation by Intelligence agency.According to CNN report, there was a intelligence information that Osama was residing in a Mansion in Islamabad. The reporter said an Intelligent asset killed Osama Bin Ladin.
Anyways it is a siginficant achievement by the US.Hope India can learn some lessons from this. _________________ www.flickr.com/G-BYGB photos |

The biggest terrorist the world has seen has been killed at the epicentre of global terrorism - How apt!

Reports that it was in Abbotabad, a city about 150 km from Islamabad via a Special Forces strike, where they shot him dead in the head.
It was not from a predator drone missile strike, but rather from a ground operation. Human intellligence put the word to the Americans that Bin Laden was there and a ground operation was launched.
Hey, Bin Laden, hope you find your 70 virgins....in hell!!!
As for Obama, pity that he did not praise more the man that launched and put this whole security response in motion...Bush!
As for Obama's electoral chances being improved in 2012 because of Osama's death....think again. If it happened two weeks before the election then it is one thing...but 19 months from the election....no way. _________________ "A communist is someone who reads Marx. Well the tragic Sep'11 attack took place during Bush's presidency.Had it taken place right now,I'am sure Obama would have done the same thing.
Any responsible US President will definitly go for war against terrorism and kill those who were responsible for killing innocent civilians.
Infact the credit must go to Obama because he withdrew troops from Iraq and concentrated more in Afghanistan and Pakistan were Osama was hiding.
On the other hand, it was Bush's fault of not increasing US troops in Afghanistan, rather than going to Iraq with false notion that Saddam had Weapons of Mass Destruction. In the end he found nothing. It was just a chance for him to kill Saddam who was once created by Bush's father when he was the president in 90's.
So Bush missed an oppurtunity of killing Osama during his presidency. _________________ www.flickr.com/G-BYGB photos |

US Special Forces...not Bush's forces or Obama's forces got Bin Laden. End of story. This week just happened to be the week that Bin Laden's luck ran out, he was found, and disposed of.
It's a great day for America. Period. As for Bin Laden, put his head on a pike and place it on Ground Zero for all to spit on. Then wrap his cold dead body around several pigs, put it on a cannon and shoot it towards the sky over Islamabad.
Bin Laden is dead. I am celebrating tonight. 10 long years of this fool, and now it turns out that Pakistan was hiding him in almost plain site!
US Pakistan relations should never be the same, and Pakistan should be the pariah nation it deserves to be. _________________ "A communist is someone who reads Marx. An anti-communist is someone who understands Marx." Ronald Reagan

Found 150 km from Islamabad....in a mansion. Says a lot doesn't it, looks like ISI just decided to give him up.
Nonetheless, hopefully there will be some reprieve in world terrorism. I doubt it, but one can hope. |

Matter of fact, I hope the soldier that shot the bullet that killed Osama Bin Laden was JEWISH AND GAY.
One can dream.
I also hope that Bin Laden lived long enough to see with his own eyes that a US Special Forces soldier had a long gun pointed right at his skull.
Payback is a bitch, ain't it, Bin Laden?
The US always wins in the end....always. _________________ "A communist is someone who reads Marx. An anti-communist is someone who understands Marx." Ronald Reagan

While it is a great symoblic victory for the US, I'm more concerned about the repercussions of this.
1) Will the US punish Pakistan for the decade of duplicity, subterfuge and violence that consumed innumerable lives and astounding amounts of money?
2) Will the Pakistani Military now unilaterally focus on attacking India which till now was split between Afghan border and India?
3) Will Pakistan now strategically take over control of Afghanistan gradually?
4) God forbids, if there is another terror attack in India, will the US go back to it's attitude of the 90s?
I hope the US has realized this man has had safe havens in Pakistan and take a strong stance. |

Avbuff,
It is telling that Obama called Pakistan and let THEM KNOW AFTER Bin Laden was killed. The compound where Bin Laden met his end was heavily guarded and actually near a police station!!
It is being reported that Bin Laden's son was killed, as was a woman acting as a "human shield" around Bin Laden.
Pakistan is in big trouble....they protected the slime of humanity for over a decade. _________________ "A communist is someone who reads Marx. An anti-communist is someone who understands Marx." Ronald Reagan

Finally, they kill that scumbag! The world just got a bit cleaner!
The bullet probably killed him very fast. Too bad. People like him ought to be tortured for days, nailed on to wooden planks, with tabasco being rubbed into their wounds and roasted on a slow fire till they beg for death.

It was a mechanical failure and it was deliberately destroyed for security reasons. I guess you must be knowing this by now. _________________ Jetphotos Flickr gallery |

Right, that much we know. What I mean are specifics like if there were injuries or if the chopper was already on the ground and could not take off again etc... |

The guy has just gone from 500 followers to 9000 followers in under an hour. I don't think tweeting about the incident is the safest thing to do esp under such circumstances and in that country. _________________ Jetphotos Flickr gallery |

I would have rather had him captured, put to trail and then executed. We might have got some decent intel out of him and his cronies.
Of course, I suspect/ hope that this will be a turning point for the world's view/ perspective of Pakistan - the terrorist state. Its very clear that this was with state support (location - in a city, next to a military training camp, 62 miles from the capital city etc.), and hopefully this will make the world force Pakistan to mend it's ways. _________________ We miss you Nalini! |

The timing of USAMA's death couldn't have been more unfortunate for the rulers in the middle-east.
There is a huge anti-administration wave sweeping the middle-east on the back of Information Technology. Here you had this cowboy who attracted the frustrated and devious lot, denying the articulate and civilised dessenters with foot soldiers, infact his prescence caused the sane lot to be associated with Usama, if they were seen protesting.
Now usama is dead, there is a anti-admin wave, AQ will merge with the present dissenters to ensure overthrow of the sheikhdoms and dictators. They will wait for another day to resurface.
As i started writing this Hillary Clinton came on telly and mentioned the same. |
