So if this 'expert' is likely to be believed, its good riddance to some bad nuisance, or is it?

For one thing the no 1 state sponsor of terrorism in India will cease to exist, and that is good news.

However, if Pakistan collapses, we are going to get a lot of people coming across as refugees , and we sure don't want them. It is only a matter of time before they start messing India up. What with enough coming across from Bangladesh, do we need more?

So what do you think? Good news or bad news?!

It is probably not going to happen. It is in the best interest of US to have a viable and somewhat functioning Pakistani government in an apparent attempt to control the terrorists and insurgents festering in the Pak-Afghan border and now even in other parts of Pak.

Sadly, US (Obama Admin) like his predecessor (Bush) will pour billions to ensure that Pak is still viable.

No matter how much money Obama throws at Pakistan to keep it alive, it will only delay the inevitable, as it has been already, and Pakistan really cannot last more than 10 years as it is.

Also, at least 2 of the states that Pakistan breaks up into will be ruled by the Taliban, something else inevitable.

Seems like it would breakup with Punjab & sind remaining in stability.
Concern is the access to those weapons. No doubt US/India will be watching the location closely.

The biggest issue, and absolutely the biggest issue, if Pakistan collapses is all of their nuclear weapons. India must ensure that absolutely none of these weapons get into the hands of terrorists. Otherwise, the risk of nuclear attack on India and the West will grow exponentially.
