I don't think they'd do that unless they want to prove a point. With its credibility well established, I see no point in that.

but im sure credibility is not what its about its just a lil good publicity to get a lil magic for the "NEW" Air India... just like they did on a smaller scale with the first UA 777 to join..
as they also did with the first 747-400... so i think they would like to show it off a bit and besides... why not? its an LR and its a new type in the world altogether.. apart from PIA... they will be quite the other new owner to show it off _________________ If it aint Boeing.. I aint going. |

A bit OT but isn't AI the second airline to take the delivery of the 772LRs? _________________ http://www.myspace.com/avsatsworld

This is correct
VT - ALA was no. 610 in the production line.
VT - ALB is i think no. 621
VT - ALC is i think no. 629
Jet Airways VT - JEA - Boeing 777 - 35RER in no. 627
Next AI should be out on the ramp an KPAE by next week or so because SIA 9V - SWI which in no. 618 was out yesterday.

I must say that the new AI livery is growing on me, especially when viewed on the video. |

Yeah, same here.
First I thought it was very ordinary, then I thought it was not so bad. But the more I look at it, the more I like it.
In fact, the cream-red combination looks quite neat on the 777. Can't wait to see it land at BOM.
