Wow - looks nice!

VT-ALA - welcome to AI.net! If you'd like to, it would be great if you could introduce yourself on the member introductions thread.

Indeed! Thanks a lot - lovely pic.
The other 6 thus far have been incomplete ones.
Ditto for the others on your flickr pages - are most of them DEL pix?
If so, what are your favourite spotting vantage points?
Further to Nimish's request, can I also request you to add a post to the
corresponding link in the `Airline Photography' section? There is a thread regarding the AI CRJ in new colours - quite a few of us often wait for a reply on this thread, and the excitement is quite palpable when we see a reply on this thread!
Thanks a lot for sharing your nice pix!
Cheers, Sumantra.

The main Air India serves Intl. destinations.
-Fleet: B747 -300/-400, B763, B77L, B77W, A310, A332, B752s.

AI(former IC) serves domestic & a few gulf and Asian (SIN/BKK) destinations.
-Fleet: A319/A320/A321 A300(Disc. from service).

AI Express is a low-cost subsidy which serves mainly the gulf and a few Asian apts.
-Fleet: B737-800s

AI Regional operates ATR42s & CRJs to smaller aerodromes;

ATR42 routes:
Agartala -> Guwhati
Delhi -> Gwalior
Delhi-> Jabalpur
Delhi -> Kulu
Delhi-> Jodhpur

CRJ routes:
Delhi-> Vizag
Delhi-> Surat

Air India Cargo
-Fleet: A310F, B732Fs.
Out of which 2 737-200Fs are dedicated for GATI & INDIA POST ops.

Just compiled my little knowledge. Hope it helps ya!

Yep, AI regional was before known as Alliance Air. There are still a few Alliance 732s & ATRs operating in the old livery.

Sreenath, I had the impression that TC-GLA was the only one. Is there any other one?

busintheair wrote: ``ATR42 routes:...CRJ routes:''

Nice compilation - you can add a few others.
ATR42: connecting Delhi(DEL) to Gwalior (GWL), Bhopal (BHO), Allahabad (IXD), Kulu (KUU), Kanpur (KNU) [the Nilgai incident took place there]
CRJ: connecting Delhi (DEL) to Bhubaneshwar (BBI) and Ranchi (IXR)

Thanks, Sumantra.
