EK is rumored to change DXB-KUL-MEL to DXB-BOM-MEL....
surely if his happens it will give AI a run for its money......... does any one have more info? |

There is no such rumor whatsoever, it is a figment of imagination of the people of airliners.net (the place apparently where you might have read this) who get a hard on once EK starts expanding in the US, EU, OZ.
Secondly, EK (neither QR nor EY) does not have the 5th freedom rights beyond India to any place. |

And, as you rightly put it in the earlier thread, thank god for that 
I'm sure EK would kill for the rights to fly DXB-BOM-KUL (like MS did CAI-BOM-KUL) or go to the ends of the earth for rights to fly DXB-BOM-HKG/SIN/BKK. Then they could complete the slaughter of the Indian airline industry as we know it, which they started with PP's blessings. |
