British Airways flies Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to Mumbai

British Airways has announced that Mumbai is its latest route to benefit from the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. British Airways’ maiden Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner flight took to the skies on October 25, 2015, marking the global launch to India on its New Delhi route.

To celebrate this announcement, British Airways has launched an offer in its Club World cabin to London from Mumbai and Delhi, with all-inclusive return fares at INR 1,35,991 and INR 1,29,031 respectively. Customers can take advantage of the discount for the sale period from December 9 to 11, 2015; and outbound travel period from December 9 to 31, 2015.

British Airways is moving forward planned Boeing 787-9 operation on London Heathrow – Calgary and London Heathrow – Hyderabad route, as both will receive the stretched variant this month.

The limited engagement sees the Boeing 787-9 operating on following days/dates, in February and March 2016, replacing 787-8

London Heathrow – Hyderabad
Boeing 787-9 operates from 04FEB16 to 13MAR16 (LHR departure) on selected dates.
Operational days are (LHR departure):
04FEB16 – 05FEB16 Day 45
08FEB16 – 15FEB16 Day x256
16FEB16 – 02MAR16 Day 247 (787-9 will also operate on 17FEB16 from LHR, Day 3)
07MAR16 – 13MAR16 Day x246

Boeing 787-9’s First Class cabin is sold as Business Class for both routes.

British Airways Moves 787-9 Mumbai Debut to late-Oct 2016

British Airways in latest schedule update is delaying planned Boeing 787-9 service on London Heathrow – Mumbai route, scheduled to operate once a day.
Previously scheduled to begin from 01SEP16, the 787 operation will now begin from 30OCT16.
