Nice TR Ojas!

Any specific comparisons between the 350 ,330, 777 or 787 ( you have traveled on that I think) in terms of noise and comfort.

thanks ameya,

Comfort wise the A330 wins above the rest. Though I have not flown the 787, the 3-3-3 is pretty tight as per many frequent travelers.

Ojas: thank you for this labour of love, something we have been waiting for!
The A350 is still an exotic for many regular international flyers, and more so for someone like me, who does not get to fly international as often as I would have liked to. I have been lapping up those A.net TRs with a lot of interest.
I am glad that this has come from our Ojas himself! The other plane of recent interest has been the B789, which your fellow Punekar has reviewed in his lovely TR.
Ha ha, the Doha yellow teddy: I guess everyone seems to be obsessed with that eyesore. Airports at night have always fuelled my imagination, since in India, most international flights have traditionally had a `dark' start to them, over the years.
DOH: are there enough power-ports in the waiting area?
The A350's `racoon-type cockpit windows': yes, extremely apt description! Smile
The racoon looks lovely in the dark, with Doha's yellow lighting.
I wonder how a Tu-95/142 would have looked here Razz
Not entering into a galley: interesting observation. Any idea why Airbus decided to do away with this? The galleys double up as standing space on boarding, and I had thought that this was a good idea.
No power-port is economy on the QR A359 hmm...that does not sound enticing for a long flight.
Bad luck with the champagne, and the drinks!
The meal looks nice!
What about the noise levels in the cabin: did you feel the plane to be a bit more quiet than many others you have flown on?
Thank you once again Ojas, for sharing this nice TR with us!
Cheers, Sumantra.

OJ thanks for detailing the report although I was privileged to hear from you first hand when we met in Singapore. Your description of the A350 as the racoon eye plane is so perfect, I actually saw the photo twice and it confirms your imagination.

What was the significance of the yellow teddy bear? It seems a bit out of place in terms of size and look.

The A350 looks quite comfortable and I hope to fly the A350 one day soon. Not having power ports was a big let-down and I am surprised they did not provide one for.

Also the champagne should not have been on the menu if they could not provide it.

Thanks for your kind words sumantraji

Oh yes there are ample power ports in the waiting area, free wifi and enough seating area for many.

The A350 is quieter than the B777 but is a not as quiet as the A330/340.

thanks Sri .. pleasure to meet you as well...

someone told me that ugly teddy bear was a gift to the Sheikha by someone .... and I figured the rest.

I was a tad disappointed with the champagne, but somehow I knew before hand this seems a typo.

Great TR!!! super jealous 350!
DOH terminal looks great (barring the pedo bear). I like the seating by the gate, good view and lots of room.
I like the map view, looks a lot better than the EK boring one.
Super stuff
