Congratulations, Sania, the ageless Leander, and Sumit Nagal.
We are proud of you!
The womens' doubles, the mixed doubles, and the boys' doubles.
With Martina Hingis (the first two), and Nam Hoang Ly.
Wonderful news in an otherwise depleting cupboard of tennis heroes.
Cheers, Sumantra. |

Leander Paes stands out. This guy never fades away!
Though, Vijay Amritraj may be the best Lawn tennis player India ever produced. Once part of the term "ABC (Amritraj, Borg & Connors) of tennis", Vijay reached quarter finals of Wimbledon & US Open in the '70s.
But these successes stand no chance (in terms of media coverage) against a cricket match between Bangladesh & Zimbabwe played in Rarotonga where S. Venkataraghavan is one of the umpires . _________________ Tally Sheet:
