This was expected as Air Asia cut DEL , BOM , HYD from KL and CCU from BKK .
HYD is back on the A320 . DEL will be next .
They can share resources like staff and office infrastructure at T 3 with i5 as they will be co locating at the same terminal .
Malindo flies to DEL already and is ramping up . Air Asia X with the A330 will bring in 12 Lie Flats Seats and 365 Y seats to take on Malindo .Malindo flies a 737-9 with 12 P / 168 in Y .
With their network from KL ( not just to Australia but also regionaly in SE Asia ) and low fuel prices ,I see Air Asia X doing well on this route making it tougher for MH to survive . |

In fact both AirAsia X and Thai AirAsia used to serve DEL from KUL and BKK respectively, but they both cut the services in 2012. Now, at least AirAsia X is back. |
