Transaero Airlines to launch scheduled flights between Moscow and New Delhi

Jan 13, 2015

On February 5, 2015 Transaero Airlines will launch, for the first time in its history, scheduled services on the Moscow-New Delhi route.

Flights UN543/544 will be operated from Vnukovo International Airport, Terminal A, two times per week according to the following schedule (local time):

Departure from Moscow on Thursdays and Saturdays at 12.10, arriving in New Delhi at 20.45. Departure from New Delhi on Fridays and Sundays at 04.00, arriving in Moscow at 07.40.

The airline will operate Boeing 767 aircraft with business, economy and tourist classes of onboard service.

It is worth to note that Transaero Airlines has been admitted to operate the Moscow-New Delhi-Singapore route with the right to carry passengers and cargo between New Delhi and Singapore. Currently the airline is considering practical steps to exercise this right.

The air services between the Russian and Indian capitals have always enjoyed a high demand.

Transaero Airlines has a long history of flights to India. The airline has been carrying out flights to the popular among Russian tourists Indian resort of Goa since 2003.

That's a long layover in DEL - though the arrival time in SVO is probably on that account.

DEL-SIN on UN sounds like an exotic option - and at 2 times a week - might just work out for the backpacking crowd...
