American Airlines longest serving flight attendant Barbara Becket retired on 25-Feb-2013 after 53 years of service with the carrier (nbcnews.com, 27-Feb-2013). Ms Beckett has worked over 8000 flights during her career since graduating from training on 29-Jul-1960.
