Did you think ever what you'll do if your plane is hijacked? FAA recommends flight crews and passengers not to play superman when a plane is hijacked.
The primary concern is for landing the plane. Then the job is for security forces.
But after 11th sep 2001, tihs tactic is considered as a big weakness of aviation security because this tactic is not suitable during a suicidal hijacking like 9/11 attacks.

The best example for Immediate intervention by passengers and flight crews is the shoe bomb plot on American Airlines Flight 63. At 22nd December 2001 a shoe bombing attempt was failed due to immediate action by passengers and flight crews.
In addition to this, terrorist attacks of the fourth flight in Sep 11 2001, United Airlines Flight 93 was crashed at Pennsylvania, after the passengers on board engaged in a fight with the hijackers.
So before doing anything, think twice about that.
