Hi Gang,
Google Earth has recently updated its imagery. Notable aviation related highlights for Mumbai include:
1) Taxiway A4. This was long pending. You can see a Jet Airways 737-700 holding on A4.
2) Two Air India 777s (one 77L & one 77W) parked at the remote bay alongside a 9W A332.
3) The half demolished Terminal 2 (2A side)
4) The under-construction arm of the new X-shaped integrated passenger terminal.
5) The multi-storey car park outside Terminal 2.
6) Air India 747-300 "Shivaji" parked outside the Kalina hangar.
7) The under-construction Terminal 1-C
Runway 14-32 under maintenance (3 month shutdown)
The imagery date is October 12, 2009.

Someone has also added a 3D 747-100 near the demolished 2A.
I wonder how long until they add the new HYD and BLR airports. _________________ "My longest flight was 18 hours - Singapore to New York on a very slow Airbus" - Tom Brokaw |

Updated images for the new BIAL airport are much overdue - go there with GPS and all you get is fields and more fields on the map! _________________ We miss you Nalini! |

Just had a close look at Google's imagery of BOM and Wow! thats a lot of work in a few months!! last I saw was in Jan this year.
Sad to see 2A go, had a lot of good memories working in/outside that (shabby) building!,
really nice to see the outlines of the new X structure taking shape. Have to admit, I never thought it would proceed beyond a plan.
This is fabulous.........
Wish they'd update their images every month or so
