Here we go...another A vs B thread in disguise
I love the NGs [no surprise there]...especially the -800s for many reasons. It has:
Better Short Field performance.
Better Climb performance.
Better Payload capabilities.
etc etc
and most impt - it looks sexy with Winglets Unlike the piece of cardboard which hangs from an 320's wings |

How about the MDs? Though I do not find them most comfortable to ride in, they are the most appealing to look at.
Other than that, it is the 737 any day. _________________ http://openflights.org/user/akumanduri |

B737 for me..!
I have been on them far many times over the A320 to differentiate the added comfort of the latter.
My second choice would be ATR 42/ ATR 72, been on a few of them operated by DN (Air Deccan) & 9W. Their rather distinctive structure stands out over the others. _________________ The more I fly 9W, the more I prefer AI | FlightDiary: 59 Boeing + 30 Airbus + 9 ATR + 1 Embraer |

Neck and neck between A and B at 15 votes.
Should have also put in the Sukhoi superjet on the options list. _________________ Yeah. |

Well the ATR have the same seating config but they are not in the same class and category as the 737 and 320 family or to an extent the E jets.
They are very good in their class of turboprops. It seems a bit unfair to put a turboprop in a poll which has the likes of the 737 and 320 in it.
But if i had to choose it would definitely be the 737.From what i know of it i think it is more a pilots aeroplane. Can do everything the Airbus family can do(sometimes better). But from a pax point of view the 320 scores a few points more.
And im not trying to start an A vs B thing here. Its just my opinion. _________________ Flickr photostream

the 738 has better payload capability than the A320 ? But surely the A320 cross-section can allow an LD3 containers which the 737 cannot ? |

Container or not, 72T is less than 77T

For this poll, I'm going with the 737s as well.
Actually even the Fokker 70 and 100 are terrific airplanes. They have probably got the most powerful takeoffs among the regional jets, and have remarkably low noise levels. Lovely airplanes! _________________ I don't know which is the more pampered bunch : AI's widebodies (the aunties) or Jet's widebodies (the planes).

I have flown the B727 very few times, but I thought the airplane was the best !! It just looked every bit the sexy, racy jet with the T-tail..and those take-offs were absolutely rocket like. |
