Quoting
Times of India.

Quote: | Earlier on Thursday, an Indian flight going to Mumbai made a precautionary landing after the plane developed a snag. The Delhi-Mumbai-Calicut flight, IC-657, had taken off at 6.55 am with 145 passengers and 10 crew and returned at 7.47 am after pilots suspected a fuel leak. The airline said passengers on the Boeing-757 were safe and were taken to Mumbai later in another aircraft |
When did IC get 757 or is it our media once again?

Interesting - I think there was a thread on A.net about AI showing up a 757 on their schedules! This may be 2 instances of smoke without fire, or maybe there's indeed a 757 on the loose here? |

Maybe they borrowed the Blue Dart 757 freighter, why not, and made everybody sit like they do inside Air Force transports used for courier runs with passengers?
After all, it WAS a flight to Calicut/Kozhikode, and must have had many pax in transit with lots and lots and LOTS of baggage. |

Why not may be to that they also added handrails to make it an 'airbus' 757. _________________ Geniuses are always misunderstood in their lifetimes. |

Entire report is a disaster from beginning to end.
Just drama and Indian aviation journalism at its shi**iest best!.
To add to this, IA is supposed to be getting a 777-800 from Air India today to operate on the Mumbai-Vadodara sector as a wet lease. Just picked this out from a respected national daily. |

Can't we have Kingfisher DEL- BOM delayed for 8 hours due to delay in delivery of their A380.
or
DTC places order for TATA 350 XWB with an option for 10 more to be used on Mudrika Ring Road route, the most lucrative.

Awesome dude this has to be one of the most hilarious threads in recent times, not too much laughter after our prince from bharatpur disappeared.
Anyway getting back to the topic, when are DN expecting their next 'shipment' of the dakotas?

Well there's an IL 76 with Removable seats that operates DEL-GAU-BLR on fri and sat return. and once a week to leh. I am not sure which day that would be. They have a quota system according to which seats are assigned. Since these were bought with Army money and operate for them, that;s why army soldiers gets 75% of available seats, rest IAF. Sorry no civilians. And all this is absoultely FREE!!!
Cheers

Yup current it seems to be operating on BOM-AMD-KWI sectors 3Xweekly.
It does seem that there is indeed a 757 on passenger service out in India. |

Thats strange and at the same time good to hear to see how cosmopoliton the AI fleet is becoming, i thing the only aircrafts remaining should be MD-11s and DC-10s--i wish that happens so that we get a chance to fly them
Also another wetlease A310 from a Turkish carrier arrived late yesterday.

Yes the first TR has been deleted as it went to become the most controversial TR in Anet with people accusing Anirudh for writing a 'fake TR' however the other two reports can be found... IMHO the best person here should be Himmat, Nimish and AKLDELNonstop ... sorry if i missed out somebody _________________ http://www.myspace.com/avsatsworld

His TRs on Anet have been deleted, I think many of us lesser mortals had given him too much trouble. But if I am not mistaken there was a thread on his antics on ai.net as well. Im not sure if the mods or someone can dig it up.

He seems to have been chased away from Anet. His last post was 98 days ago. His other posts also seem to be quite hilarious. (I seem to have found something to spend my Sunday afternoon) _________________ My Flickr photos

yep, was walking by to clear immigration had nothing but my mobile phone camera to take the pic. Strange that the ground takes us to the passenger terminal and then we walk all the way up the aerobridge and then all the way down again to clear immigration. Wish there was a better process in place to do things. |
