I happen to be a witness to this horrific incident. I am somewhere in the crowds there in the pic below. Sadly the pilot and two other people could not make it. My father was one of the 20 people who were injured.
All these years I wanted some information on this accident and i finally founf some. So I am sharing this with my fellow a nutters also.

I happen to lose my second cousin while training a recruit in Secundarabad on Mig 21 and a batchmate since Grade II to chopper crash in Siachen. Can very well understand the loss of these great men. _________________ [url=http://openflights.org/user/aseemsjohri]

These are the pictures of the Mig-21 that was lost in Gariapathar in Sivsagar district, Assam on Nov. 12.08
Pilot was saved.
