Hi Gang,

I'm just back from a week long vacation in Nepal. Had an excellent time there....

I will use this thread to upload my spotting photos from Nepal. There are some goodies coming along your way. Wink

Gimme a few days to process and upload the shots. To get you all started, here is the first one:

Buddha Air's recently inducted ATR-42 9N-AIN

Thanks MEL. I don't know what the dpcumented rule is, but the scene is quite friendly. Me along with other tourists were freely clicking pics even on the tarmac. That Gorkha Airlines Do-228 pic above has been clicked from the transfer bus.

Exotic stuff Vivek.

How was it to fly in an aircraft with doorless cockpit? Were there any flight attendants on board?

Thanks crew320! It was fun actually. Firstly - everyone gets invited into the cockpit for a view during the flight. Secondly - you get to see the pilots in action during landing, take-offs and cruise. Smile

There was only one flight attendant on board, who also served as a guide.

Thanks Mel! Smile

There is no visible difference in the forward cabins of both the aircraft. Both of them look like normal passenger aircraft from inside. The remains of the forward cargo door is only visible from the outside on 9N-ACB

Thanks vivek.Since RNA does not use the combi as a freighter at all, guess the interiors are done up permanently to suit a Pax cabin with overhead bins & sidewall panels.
