If I can become chief minister of UP four times, why can't I become the prime minister?

When pointed out that she was a 'Dalit's daughter' who was aspiring to be the Prime Minister, Mayawati said "apart from being a Dalit's daughter, I am also the daughter of India.

Not that I'm a big fan of Mayawati, but what's wrong if she becomes PM? Haven't we had worse?

Were the likes of Deve Gowda, VP Singh, Chandra shekar, Charan Singh etc any better? They were all loud mouthed and incompetent morons and they all became Prime Ministers. When did quality leadership become a pre-requisite for the Indian prime minsiterial candidate?

In fact, I would actually prefer Mayawati over bungling but pretty oafs like Indira Gandhi or her son, Rajiv. And don't even get me started on that 'Harvard Dropout' Rahul Gandhi.

Actually here is a very nice article. Makes excellent reading.

The ones you have mentioned were really unfit to become PM, mayawati fits in the same category as above. The morons mentioned above were lucky enough to become our PM and absolutely did nothing. I sincerely hope that this female monkey doesnt become our next PM.

That article doesn't make a good case for her becoming PM at all. I understand the symbolism of her as PM, but other than that this woman is as much of a thug as the high caste goons she castigates. Besides, does she have any clue about economic policies, international relations, energy policy? At least the current PM has a vision for India.

She is a thug man, a good for nothing individual. One or two years back on her birthday she spent thousands of governments money only for her birthday cake.

We already have this quota for AI and IC pilots man, OBC, ST and all that stuff. Why do we need quota for such a good post i dont understand. Quota simply wastes merit, god knows who will explain this to our coconut headed babus.

Mayawati: The Inside Story

This article just reinforces what a petty and vindictive woman she is. Her casteist and divisive policies have no place in a developing India and will lead to its downfall if allowed to propagate on a national level i.e. her becoming the PM.

Hope for the country's sake that she looses the upcoming Lok Sabha elections by a resounding margin.
