I just read on rediff, there were two more blasts at 5:30 and 6:30pm, total 9 blasts in one day . I seriously hope that who ever did this should be dealt seriously and no mercy showed to them, no matter who ever is involved. _________________ HamiltonAir |

Hope none of the AI.netters were adversely affected..
Incidentally, I was to drive past Vittal Mallya Road, Koramangala, Madivala, etc, around the same time the blasts took place. But on an impulse, I decided to take a detour and visit my parents instead. And incidentally, even they had planned to be at Richmond circle at that time, and canceled their plans on learning that I'm visiting them!
Too bad for these guys, life is not going to stop in Bangalore because of their deadly antics. |

RIP to those dead. Whoever caused it should be punished to the full extent of the law.
Thank goodness none of my family was there at the time. I am scheduled to leave for India tonight, and I am supposed to be in Bangalore on August 5, I believe. _________________ "My longest flight was 18 hours - Singapore to New York on a very slow Airbus" - Tom Brokaw |

Another one today: Source Rediff.com
http://www.rediff.com/news/2008/aug/08beng.htm
A crude explosion on Friday in Bengaluru [Images] sent panic waves. The explosion occurred behind the Rasheed Hotel in Hoysalanagar.
Commissioner of Police Shankar M Bidri, who is yet to reach the spot, said maintained there was no cause for panic and the explosion may be a result of crackers going off. However, the actual reason for the explosion is not known yet.
Initial reports indicate that no one has been injured in the blast. However the incident has sent panic waves across the city which had witnessed a series of blasts two weeks back incidentally on a Friday.
The police have beefed up security across the city and have urged the public to remain calm. |
