Shocked by the recent tragic accident to its 737, Indonesian LCC Adam Air has said that it will replace its Boeing fleet with a brand new Airbuses.

Adam Air has said that it go in for the Airbus A320 family.
Indonesian LCCs are being criticised for ignoring safety for profit and low priced tickets and are seriously looking at replacing their old and second hand fleets.
Adam Air says it will operate 40 Airbus planes in stages starting in 2008 for a safe and comfortable flight.
Privately-owned Adam began operations in 2003 and serves mostly domestic routes, with Singapore and Malaysia’s Penang its only international destinations.
The company is a leading low-cost carrier in the competitive Indonesian market, and markets itself as a ‘‘boutique airline’’ between traditional budget firms and regular airlines.
According to its website, the carrier had 19 Boeing 737 jets in its fleet as of January 2006.

What a silly reaction!!! It's not as if Boeing's 737s are unsafe or that 320s are much safer!

and what about the costs of such a migration? Who's going to pay for the brand new 320s?

Nimish just think into this matter. The airline lost a 737. Its current aircrafts getting old. They need replacement for their fleet. Now had Boeing "done" something about the crash then they might have upgraded to 738/739s/ But now simple since Boeing didn't bother to give them discounts they have opted for A320

The cause is probably Bad Mx & Flying.

Old Aircraft can be better than newer ones if Mantained well.

I think Airbus has a better marketting dept.

Might be a well-timed marketing stunt.
Rubbish your old Boeing fleet.
This is just the sort of thing Airbus waits for.
