This is triggered by this thread on A.net:
http://www.airliners.net/discussions/general_aviation/read.main/3191969/
Basically the OP wants to know whether MAA is already receiving the new J class, or when it's scheduled to arrive.
I know that BLR gets the new J configuration.
Wanted to check on LH's plans on rolling out the new J to cities in India - DEL, BOM, CCU, HYD, BLR and MAA. Does anyone here have information on this? |

What about BOM and MAA? Do they get the old product right now? |

BOM is still on the old product.. im not very sure of MAA.. i think they sometimes get the new version off and on...but am not sure.. will have to look it up
bear in mind i am referring to the latest new version... the 16-66-270. There is also another version prior to this 16-80-234 which also offers the new business class.. so MAA could be getting either one of these off and on... BOM has not seen the 16-80-234 in a long time now... more than a couple of months at the least..
incidentally the diverted LH760 flight we had a week back was the new 16/66/270 version..
16/78/274
16/99/234
16/64/310 are all the old standard configs..
16/80/234 .. new business class
16/66/270 .. new business class 2nd version (newer)
i am currently off tonight so if you can give me till saturday il give you some more details.. i can pull up our station info records and tell you but i wont be able to do that until i go back tomorrow night.
anyways... from our systems.. currently we (BOM) is currently slotted to recieve the new 16/66/270 version starting around 12-14Feb. The change has been confirmed for BOM.. its only a question of when we get it... sooner me thinks than later.
initially till about the 2nd quarter of 2006 and a few occasions towards the other half of the year we used to get the 16/64/310 versions... but mostly as of mid 2006 BOM has seen the 16/78/274 as standard... we're lookin forward to seeing the new version though! _________________ If it aint Boeing.. i can give you the regs which have been fitted with flynet and the new business product tomo as well.. although we can change versions for any reg if req.. there are few regs that are dedicated to particular routes that have been assigned the new products.. and rarely do we see those regs operating here if at all _________________ If it aint Boeing..
