Had a nice trip to singapore , visited Malaysia and indonesia as well .. my schedule was

SQ 423 BOM - SIN 0030 0825 27 JUN B777-300
SQ 424 SIN - BOM 2015 2305 10 JUL B777-300

Started from Pune at 1800hrs reached the airport at 2245 hrs , thanks to the traffic in pune and mumbai. After reaching the airport i noticed that there are now separate X - Ray machines for any airline departing for example at that time , AF had a separate X - ray machine just before its designated counters . similarly for SQ , MH etc. Terminal 2C is real good but somehow i fell they have more security checks than 2A.

FIRST LEG

SQ 423 : Mumbai - Singapore
Aircraft: B777-312
Gate no. 19 ; Seat no. 38K

STD : 0030 hrs Pushback time : 0032 hrs Airborne : 0040 hrs
STA : 0825 hrs Touchdown : 0808 hrs Docking time : 0817 hrs
Load : 100%

After getting my boarding pass went through the immigration which was a breeze , got my hand bags screened , and proceeded to the deparutre hall. At that time TG 318 (A333) had just let the gate and MH 195 (B772) was
boarding. Plus there were a couple of AI flights going to HYD , AMD. Boarding started at 2355 hrs , and was done in an efficient manner. First , Biz class and PPS club members boarded first. Then Elderly people and
children followed by pax seated 51-61 , 41 - 50 , 31-40. So i had to board in the end. FA's were good friendly.

The aircraft was very clean , and after some time the services began with hot towels. Next to us was a AF B772 going to CDG , and at 2A DL , LX , AZ , 9W 332 (strange) , MK A343 (at gate 21). Within no time we were air
borne. Drinks services , that too twice for those having alcohol . Food was very good 3 selections continental , indian veg/non veg. I chose continental , which consisted of tuna salad fruits chicken in soya sauce , and a pastry for dessert. Even though the flight was full the FA's were pretty attentive and relaxed. Food was good , IFE didnt have on demand movies .. but the number of movies running was good. On the return sector though there was AVOD. After catching sleep for some time , i woke up to see it was bright already. Juices were served , and we began our
descend into singapore . The scene was lovely ... with one sharp turn we touched down at changi airport . On the turmac many SQ flights 4 IC flights from DEL , MAA , BOM-BLR , PNQ -HYD , 9W and an S2 flight.

Afterdocking to the gate we disembarked and with 5 minutes passed the immigration , took my bag and were out in no time.

After a nice trip i was heading back home . just when i was leaving i checked on the website flight was delayed by an hour. so the 2015 departure was shifted to 2115 hrs . Reached the airport at 1945 hrs , dropped my bag at Row 9 as i had checked in through the internet.

SECOND LEG

SQ 424 : Singapore - Mumbai
Aircraft: B777-312
Gate no. F54 ; Seat no. 46A

STD : 2015 hrs Pushback time : 2140 hrs Airborne : 2152 hrs
STA : 2305 hrs Touchdown : 2357 hrs Docking time : 0008 hrs
Laod: 95% approx

After going through the immigration , was checking the shops around , nothing interested me much though. Boarding started at 2055 hrs. Similar fashion as in the previous leg . The reason for the delay was because SQ
238 MEL - SIN was delayed by 4hr30min because of which it landed at 2030 hrs at SIN and there were 25 pax from that flight to BOM. Plus a further delay because some of the MEL flight pax missed their connections
to AMD so they were put in our flight and then they were to be transported to AMD. So another 30 pax boarded and then finally the aircraft left at 2140 hrs. This time the aircraft was AVOD equipped , nice food drinks were served thrice and later on juices were served twice. Now one funny thing happened , when i was having dinner , just as i was opening the sachet in which spoons , fork , knife etc are packed , one of the spoons was dirty. I pointed it out to the FA , she was very apologetic , and within seconds got me another sachet. Also on disembarkation the main stewardess of the flight apologised. We had a direct approach to BOM no turning etc etc ..as we progressed from pune the a/c aligned itself and then we landed at 2357 hrs. Due to monsoon clouds were dense. On the BOM turmac were NW A332 , SA A342 , AF B772 , MH B772 , 9W B77W , AI B744 AZ B763 et al. I was pleasantly shocked to see that the carpeting work was going on at BOM , have taken a pic of it. Immigration took 2 mins , and then started waiting for my bags which came after 20 mins. At 0035 hrs i was out of the airport.

SQ , i feel , Live upto their standards. Their service was flawless , clean aircraft , IFE well defined. The delay didnt pinch me much as i reached home at pune well in time. I just wish they could bring in a variety of a/c in
such as B747 or B77W

Nice TR Ojas - was fun to read and seems like you had very good flights both ways. That's the thing I love about SQ - their service standards are high and the facilities on offer are excellent. Makes you forget the cramped leg space on board Smile

well full marks to SQ ... their legroom is indeed problematic .. but having travelled EK , SQ legroom is a bit generous.

iam making a trip to DOH this july end mostly on EK or QR i. of on EK ill take a pic and show it Very Happy
