Air Italy S19 India service changes
Air Italy in late-last week’s schedule update opened reservation for India service for travel in summer 2019 season, on/after 31MAR19.
Planned service adjustment as follows.
Milan Malpensa – Delhi
eff 31MAR19 Increase from 3 to 4 weekly
IG955 MXP1635 – 0400+1DEL 332 x256
IG956 DEL0550 – 1120MXP 332 x367
Milan Malpensa – Mumbai
eff 31MAR19 Operational day changes for 3 weekly flights
IG927 MXP1450 – 0250+1BOM 332 256
IG928 BOM0450 – 1020MXP 332 367

Air Italy gradually closes India reservations from Feb 2019
Air Italy on Wednesday (30JAN19) filed additional changes to its inventory, as the airline closed reservation for Milan Malpensa – Delhi and Milan Malpensa – Mumbai route.
Previously, the airline only opened reservation for C / Y / L / X / H / W-class fare for summer 2019 season.
Milan Malpensa – Delhi
Reservation for travel on/after 31MAR19 closed
IG955 MXP1635 – 0400+1DEL 332 x256
IG956 DEL0550 – 1120MXP 332 x367
Milan Malpensa – Mumbai
Reservation for travel on/after 21FEB19 closed. Following schedule effective 31MAR19.
IG927 MXP1450 – 0250+1BOM 332 256
IG928 BOM0450 – 1020MXP 332 367

So Air Italy is discontinuing service to DEL effective Mar 31, 2019. And for Mumbai no service from from Feb 21 to Mar 30, 2019.
Does not appear that the airline is successful on these routes, may be too much competition, especially in the DEL sector. AI is still flying to Milan. |

| While sad to lose an airline and nonstop connectivity to MXP from BOM (DEL still has AI), I am not surprised. Fares are low so how does an airline not in an alliance and really only offering JFK connections compete. |
