maybe that is what is planned. In fact, how about VIE as AI's European hub?

Why AI flies to FRA for connections. They should focus on good O&D routes. My guess is 95% of the traffic VIE-DEL was connections (could be wrong).

What's the reason for this?

The usual ME3 syndrome?

Or is LH planning on putting an LX 77W on the DEL route?

Why? You don't think AI is losing enough money already?

If they couldn't build a European hub in LHR or FRA, fat chance they have of building one in VIE.

According to that article, OS is using the frames to boost Shanghai capacity. The ME3 just provide a reason for the LH group to scapegoat someone.

Besides, if LH wanted to, they would've boosted OS's longhaul fleet rather than force them to cut out DEL.

With the LH group having BRU, FRA, MUC, ZRH & VIE, I really don't see what VIE brings to the table wrt to India. Other than maybe a ski route like Innsbruck in there a connection city of importance that is lost for the lH group to offer India?
Don't get me wrong, I think its really sad that India is losing connectivity and connections wrt to nonstop destinations and airlines that serve the country.

India isn't losing nonstop connectivity to VIE, AI is taking over from the 6th of April.

OS will fly a charter flight to COK sometime this month as part of round the world tour, a 777 in the outgoing blue belly livery is operating it as Zurich-New Orleans-Honolulu-Tokyo-Kyoto-Shanghai-Da Nang-Kochi-Abu Dhabi-Zurich.
