Indians to gain visa-free entry in Indonesia

Indonesia's Government said India will soon be included in Indonesia’s visa-free list (travelbizmonitor.com, 28-Jul-2015). Republic of Indonesia consul general in Mumbai Saut Siringoringo said: “India will soon be included in Indonesia’s visa-free list. The process to facilitate the same is ongoing". Ministry of Tourism deputy director Asia Pacific promotion Taufik Nurhidayat said: “India is an important and the seventh biggest tourism market for Indonesia. The number of inbound Indian travellers is increasing, especially for incentive trips. We are expecting 250,000 Indian travellers in 2015, an increase from the 234,000 travellers in 2014". The number of Indian visits increased by around 16.2% to 237,990 in 2014, with 107,933 tourist arrivals from India in the five months ended 30-May-2015. |

| Good, I hope it is not like the one that Philippines has for Indian citizens. That requires a US or Europe or Australia visa/residency to qualify. |
