Yesterday, I saw an Innova on which in bold letters was written MDLR Airlines. I suppose that this wannabe airline was in news quite a time back but are there any fresh updates regarding this?
As far as I know, they are from Gurgaon based MDLR Group.

Are these the blokes who've ordered the 777 Freighters? I heard that they've missed two payments for the slots already and the Big B will use those slots for other airlines (READ SQ). BTW the mood at Boeing for some reason is "suck-up" to SQ, 8 P2s have landed up for the conversion without any confirmation and guess what Boeing was "extremely" happy that SQ thought of them in a "tough" hour and sent the P2s ahead of their slots, and magnanimously has arranged for the SIM to used as well. |

I think the civil aviation ministry should put a temporary break on allowing more airlines entering into the fray.As it is the apts have loads of baggage(flights) which they are not able to handle. So it is better that they concentrate on infrastructure. It should not be another traffic jam story where the no.of vehicles are high but the roads are dirty and narrow.Let us see at least this thing not being overcrowded. We should concentrate on quality not quantity. _________________ www.flickr.com/G-BYGB photos |

Bt then even if S2 is providing tech support to Indus they wouldnt show the contract or terms of contract a public affair. Thats something between indus and Sahara. And i guess Indus has got no where to go as CRJ is only operated by Sahara _________________ Expeditors- You'd be surprised how far we will go for you www.expeditors.com |

Cool - thanks Avi!
So Boeing is being extremely friendly to SQ and giving them priority as well! Good for both parties involved, I hope SQ enjoys the new 773s, and can give Boeing more business for widebodies (hopefully some 772LRs get ordered, giving SQ more non-stop Singapore-US West coast services!). |

SQ in that many terms is maha-kanjoos and plays the boeing vs airbus card very well. They'll negotiate till the cows come home and even then decisions are hard to come by in SQ... |

Reviving this comatose thread............
Saw a board at the junction of Sahar road and the Western Express Highway in Andheri East (just beside the Air Arabia offices), saying
MDLR Airlines coming soon
They had a orange sphere like thing as a logo, split into sections and a slogan "Choo lo Asman" (or some thing like that). Could not take a pic of that (camera is in for repair).
Any more info regarding them. _________________ My Flickr photos

BAe 146 has been in India before, I think.

whats so horrible about writing their punch line in hindi?? Is it because its written in hindi. C,mon mates we all come here for mature rationalistic discussion and nt some kiddo talk so guys lets raise the bar a bit.
Secondly Avijeet Low Cost Carriers biggest usp is affordable simple flying without any tantrums and glimmicks. So yeah things permiting u might also see LCC tkts on sale at dirt cheap rates on payments too

I meant all those Re 1 and Re 9 schemes. general prices of LCCs like MAA-BOM in SG came to something in Rs3500/- range thats what should be the standards. Hoping this airline does something decent unlike those bus fare schemes _________________ http://www.myspace.com/avsatsworld

lets get back on track
What do you folks thing about plane like BAE in Indian circuit. Is it suitable for short runway? Do you feel that it would be ideally suited for places like Gulbarg or Gorakhpur connecting to Bangalore or Bhopal? We must not forget that if airlines are to give railways run for the money, then there is market for flight between secondary and tertiary cities. After all you won't see a Rajdhani between Gorakhpur and Bhopal.
In short, if MDLR was to target LCC crowd between secondary cities, how successful will it be? Considering AD is concentrating on connecting small cities with Metros.

BAE -146 (RJ-70) is capable of landing in short runways. It requires a runway shorter than a B737-200. This makes it ideal for landing in airports like Dehradoon. _________________ Save Maharashtra! |
