Why are they red / maroon? Shouldnt they have been blue / yellow / gray or some shades owing to the livery and new corporate design?

Crying or Very sad

Well, is business class really for "average folks"? Wink

It is not uncommon for the interior to be a different color scheme from the exterior. I think they look good...maroon is a nice rich color.

And looks can be deceptive! AFAIK, they're going with the standard 32" in economy, so I doubt that the space will in reality be any better than LH or BA.

i would think so yes.. avergae = middle class.. considering not everyone is an overnight millionaire.. yet some families can and do afford business class.. i just did a dummy check as to how much it would work to london and the states on 9ws new class on their site.. and i've gotta say guys like QR offer cheaper rates from BOM-QTR and onwards for business class..

i guess you didnt understand where i came from with that statement when i meant average people.. but you are right.. its mostly the corporates they're going after and the well heeled businessmen..

I went for the function.... U know why i guess???

The F seats are just tooooooo gud..

I absolutly hate the J seats:

1 - Cant look out the window

2 - When the are lie flat you will 100% touch somebody walking in the aisle. Definately when ur 6ft 1! Mad

3 - A330 J looks sooo cramped and the aisle in soo narrow. When passing through the speration between J and Y, its soo narrow that i only managed to get through.

4 - the Y seats are the most comfortable i have ever sat in.. its worth it.

Common or uncommon, out of the question. Its just about how to merge your overall brand colors with the interiors. It just reminds me of Emirates and how they have red / maroon all around. Maroon is a rich color agreed but how do you blend it with the cabin crew uniform too is another question. To me its going to be an eye sore seeing a staff in bright yellow going around in maroon colors.

And it just reminds and makes me wanna take an EK flight more than anything else.

My opinion!

This is the most relevant part for us Economy class citizens! Great to hear that 9W long haul will be comfortable in Y, their short haul is terrible (in terms of seat comfort) in Y.

Well said Nimish!

Infact people who are really tall like me don't fit comfortably in 9W Y is domestic. Only the 1st row seat which and the emergency exit seats have the most legroom. I only sit there, I have to request so during check-in Cool
