Hi Karan,

Nice TR!! Liked the photos...I am still little shaky while taking photos at Indian airports...I know there is a circular allowing us to take photos but you never know how those officials will react at the airports!!

I have used ATQ many times, especially on that IC DEL-ATQ-Sharjah evening flight, your TR brought back some memories!

BTW, on what routes the AI 743 combies (the one you clicked at BOM) are used?

Thanks!

I think they are pretty much restricted to NRT route.

Anybody having clue as to when they are going to be phased out?

380,
Scrapped?
Wasn't that AI's 742s?

"Shivaji" and "Narasimha Varman", ie Air India's 747-300s, are still flying Exclamation

Great, Karan.

It was deleted as it was a one liner and was not contributing anything.

Thank you guys so much for your very kind comments much appreciate it.

PAL@YWG--- i understand your hesitance in taking photos, but IMHO, if its the CISF in charge avoid the risk its not worth the tension otherwise are normal security gaurds are cool.

Jumbojet--- Arrey bhai kyu Sharmind karte ho yaar--thanks very much anyways glad to know i have your support.

Avijeet-- Yes all of AI 747-200s are scrapped AI currently have 4 747-300s the two which are owned and do BOM-DEL-BKK-KIX aand BOM-DEL-NRT and two which are leased for HAJ from Air Atlantic--they will be the all white 747-300s you will see at BOM HYD DEL CCU

Karatecatman--glad to know you liked it

They are still handing the 9W arrivals at 1A in BOM? I thought somebody (jet or the BOM airport) proudly promised that they will be done in December 06.

I mean 1b will be ready for arrivals. So Jet arrivals will be in it's own terminal and not being bussed to IC (going through that spiral road was goofy).

yes exactly, though I've always wondered why in bollywood movies etc they always say "Da", I bet its easier for non-punjabi's to say with "Da" instead of "Ka". Either way I guess the meaning probably doesnt change.

Back to topic, the trip report was just awesome and so were the photos.

The refurbished terminal looks very nice for a refurbish.

Oh! OK. For a second I thought some bright guy decided to merge the arrivals of 1A and 1B.

So what is the phase 2 of 1B?
