heheheh don’t always trust stats, they can be right but misleading.
The 380 is 79 feet or 24 meters tall.
Now if each story = 11 feet, then ya I guess 7 stories high _________________ eP007 |

yup infact a storey is 10-12 feet.
"storey or story
an informal unit of distance equal to the average distance between floors of a building. In British English the spelling is "storey" and the plural is "storeys"; Americans write "story" and "stories." Typically a story equals 10 to 12 feet (3.0-3.6 meters). The origin of this use of the word "story" is not entirely clear, but in medieval times a tier of sculptures or stained glass windows on the front of a cathedral was called a stor(e)y because it usually told a story, and the number of stories was a measure of the size of the building. "

So, the A380 will be parked near the Haj terminal at DEL. The contest winners and other invitees will have to board the aircraft from the Haj terminal for their flight to BOM. |

Where is this Haj Terminal? I have never seen it. Considering the space shortage at domestic terminals, why is this terminal not being put to use for scheduled flights? _________________ Save Maharashtra! |

Airbus to showcase A380 in India, Japan, Taiwan and Australia
By Victoria Moores

Airbus is to showcase its A380 in Tokyo, Sydney and Taipei following its forthcoming visit to the Indian cities of Delhi and Mumbai.
Speaking to Air Transport Intelligence during the manufacturer’s annual technical briefing in Toulouse, Airbus A380 product marketing director Richard Carcaillet outlined the A380’s tour schedule.
Between 7 and 10 May the A380 will make its Indian debut, visiting a string of carriers including current prospects Jet Airways and Air India. Carcaillet indicates that this is more than a tentative visit. Kingfisher Airlines is Airbus’ only Indian A380 customer, with five A380-800s on firm order.
Carcaillet says that the aircraft will return from India and, following a planned appearance in Paris, will fly to Tokyo in June. From Japan it will fly on to Sydney, returning via Taipei to visit China Airlines.
Airbus chief operating officer for customers John Leahy says: “Over the next 9-12 months several trips around the world are planned to showcase [the A380] to difference airlines.” |

Will anyone provide me the final details of the visit to DEL? I mean date, timings and possible viewing venues other than Jumbo Point. _________________ Nalini... The Princess of the Sky... You are a star which will continue to illuminate your own A.net-India forever... |
